It is our firm belief that in order to breed good Charolais Bulls,
you first and foremost must have
quality Charolais Females.
For over 5 years prior to the two joining in partnership, Tony Farrell and Richard Harms, individually sourced their own Charolais male and female genetics. Proven quality females that were genetically impressive, visually correct with tractable Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs) were found and purchased, and birthweight and milk were high on our agenda to build the best Australian Charolais Cattle Herd.
As the French poet and statesman Alphonse de Lamartine said "There is a female at the beginning of all great things" and our Donor Charolais Cows are among the very best in the world.
THW Charolais Cattle feature at both regional and interstate Shows and in what was only their 2nd year at the Brisbane Ekka (2009) we received a 3rd with THW Estella 32 Cigar, in 2010 THW Dee V8 was Junior Champion at Dubbo Beef Spectacular and then won Junior Champion bull, Grand Champion Bull and went on to win Interbreed Champion Bull at The Sydney Royal Easter Show.
When THW Dee V8 teamed up with Palgrove Panache 149 and calf at the Sydney Royal they won the Hordern Trophy for best pair of the show.
